Hostile situations where the person on the hood of a car is the aggressor might happen in action movies, but this incident seems like the result of some domestic dispute.
Of course it was a domestic dispute.
But regardless of whether it was a domestic dispute or not, let's consider it generically: two people are involved in a fight. Perhaps it's physical, perhaps it's not, but they're fighting. One person has enough and decides to leave. Why in the WORLD would the other person go after him/her?

anyone wonder if google will google is planning to eat apple?
I love Google as much as I love Apple. A very, very close relationship between them wouldn't be bad at all in my mind.

So, your ok with being held against your will, if harm might come to the perpetrator??
This appears on the cusp of kidnapping. What the hell are you talking about?

it needs to be said that GM even had small car hybrid projects planed and designed during the late 60ties (i have a german magazine outlining those smart sized cars, perhaps i can scan them tomorrow)
It's true, the hybrid concept has been around for a very long time in cars, much longer even when you consider the drivetrains used in diesel-electric locomotives and all non-nuclear military submarines.
Chevrolet managed to outsell Chrysler 10 to 1
which sounds not that bad ... except those are the actual numbers... i feel really sorry for that jeep, chrysler, dodge dealer in my hometown selling a total of _4_ cars in 2 months.. luckily now they can add lancia to that list with it's 3 cars ;)
and Porsche(24) actually outsold Honda(20)
Yikes. With those sales numbers, how do they stay in business?

No doubt this will be usa only...
... no wonder Apple has such a bad market share around the world, less than 45% of its market is from non usa countries. Thats pretty bad.

It's truly shocking how many empty headed people offer a mac mini as an idea when someone obviously wants an expandable system. He already has a tower and is looking at another tower so spending more and getting what he doesn't want is a solution somehow.. Wow.
Anyway.. some actual advice intended to help you. I wouldn't buy a G5 tower myself as they are far too unreliable. I have posted about this before and they are quite unreliable. This (http://www.macintouch.com/reliability/pmg5.html) link shows extensive research based on actual Apple repair records on G5's. A quick sum up is that even the most reliable one (the dual 2.3GHz) saw 11% go in the shop for one reason or another. The worst model (the first dual 2GHz) saw a whopping 32% in the shop for repair.
Best and cheapest solution in my mind..
Get a G4 MDD dual 1.25 or dual 1.42. Even the dual 1.25 will be a world apart performance wise compared to your single 867MHz. Not quite as fast as a dual G5 but really not all that much slower and much more reliable. A fair price on ebay for these models would be maybe 150-225. I prefer the heavily upgraded Sawtooth I have but it's a much bigger investment than an ebay MDD. Even the low end dual 867 MDD I used to own handled all flash quite well. A 1.25+ won't have any issues with anything you want to do at all.
To each their own.. most of my everyday work, about 70-80 percent is done on the PB G4 - basics.. only handbrake and dvd encoding is done on my 6-core mac pro.. I have no use for video editing, and personally will never touch it because I don't have the time nor desire to learn about it.
Well, I just replaced the 5400 120GB PATA in my PB G4 and replaced it with a OWC Legacy SSD drive and it has brought new life to my power book G4.
I say: Why not? My 2010 Mac Pro seems to love the company of its older brothers, the PPC macs.. and even my Gateway p-6860fx chimes along as well. All of them get along.. none of them hate each other.. why hate ppc? Why hate Intel?? So long as the computer can do what you ask of it, it is NEVER obsolete.
We should all play nice.

Which is why I'm now reconsidering buying a 360 Elite...If the same components are being used...I'm not getting one. Microsoft needs to get their quality up. It's one thing that Sony has gotten correct this generation. Their console is quiet, reliable, and most of all, full of power and potential. I think the tides are turning for Sony. Looks like I'll be getting a 360 when it drops down to $200...:o
It will use the same components as the original 360:

Says it toward the end of the article.

Have a look at Brew Dog (http://www.brewdog.com). One of their beers, Tactical Nuclear Penguin comes in at 32% ABV. Very expensive to buy. Nothing more than a publicity stunt, really. They release a beer, put something controversial on the label, questions get asked in Parliament and bingo!, loads of free publicity and street cred.
Rather have a nice bottle of single malt meself.:p
Oh, just had a look at their site and they've had to release a 41% ABV entitled "Sink The Bismark" in order to combat a 40 percenter from Germany.
Brewdog brewery is literally 20 mins from where i live, and the stuff is vile. another thing US bud is not a beer, its a lager-beer. and no i don't know the difrence and frankly i don't care. I prefer tenents, or Cobra lagers, or, scratch the last 2, make mine an orkney, Dark Island real ale, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yum

I think we can all agree that Nokia's meat and potatoes has been in dumb phones. They are present in the smart phone market, but this merger if you will with Windows is going to be their attempt to really recreate themselves in a market they were not very successful in.
That's ridiculous. Up until the last few months, Nokia has had the largest share in smartphones worldwide and has done for over a decade. At one point they had Microsoft Windows DESKTOP sized share of the smartphone market.
The Windows Phone move is an attempt to placate the US market where their smartphones never caught on and also in Europe where increasingly the iPhone and Android are taking over also as Nokia, through it's own stupid management has failed to update it's operating systems in a timely manner.
Personally, I think the Windows Phone move is a good move for the USA since it doesn't really matter and a ridiculously stupid move for the rest of the world where Nokia could have toughed it out for a couple more years improving Symbian and MeeGo with Qt as a development platform. Nobody in Europe really used Windows Mobile and I don't see anybody clamouring for Windows Phone either. Nokia's S40 OS is arguably more powerful than Windows Phone 7 and that's a feature phone OS.

The general problem with this estimation is that the mac prices are the cheapest at the University computer stores while highest for PCs. The same Dell notebook that costs less than 700$ w/ coupons etc has a price of 1200!! in the Univ IT store. That has been a trend over the last few years. Hence the number of people buying PCs at the univ stores is steadily decreasing as people are now much more aware of the general prices. Ofcourse there is also a genuine rise in the mac sales (i contributed by gettin a black mac book).
