Adobe CS5 Photoshop Classroom in a Book should show you the basics
shows more than the basics! I got this book for Christmas and it is fantastic. Very easy to follow and if you want to learn specific features it is easy to jump around from section to section.

i have this (http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=11251&catalogId=11005&itemId=70538&catGroupId=11133&modelNo=SC-EN7&surfModel=SC-EN7) one. it's the low-end of the panasonic "micro" ones. it has a motorized cd player that opens vertically , quite a nice radio for the size of it and it has an AM antenna which I love. only a hundred bucks though i didn't see where you live lol. looks quite good and very small. not sure if that's what you meant by cd player though...my room is like 9x8ft and this really fills it up. 3.5mm audio in for airport express too :p not that i have one...

As mentioned, all I got was an NSException error in the message and the emulator crashing.
I'll consider what you said but have no idea what you mean by disrespecting people which is 100% not my intent.
I think he means you should copy and paste the specific NSException that you got. For example, it might say something like this:
2011-04-12 10:23:04.488 National Rail[1109:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[NSMutableArray objectAtIndex:]: index 0 beyond bounds for empty array'
That's an NSException, but it gives more detail to post the error message.

There used to be a chain of stores that let you listen to any CD in the store so you could see if you liked it. Not sure if there are any that still do that.
Are you talking about FYE? I haven't seen one of those stores in years.
Try Youtube. a lot of people post whole cds (track by track) on there.

uh, they replace them for free? where? links please. thanks.
Just goto Nintendo.com
Definitely order them. I didn't think I would need them either, but the night before they actually arrived in the mail, my gf's sister broke one.
I ordered two, and they sent me two. You guys with extras are lucky.
Why not just order 4 then you have 2 extra.

Michael Moore? I stopped paying attention when you said that.
Interested to hear your explanation of this.

They way they have it designed, if you click on "More" at the bottom of each forum section, then you can navigate to that forum. Bonus Tip: There's a groovy bright yellow on mouseover of "More". Check it out.

I've tried VPC 6 in OS 9, running 98SE, 2000, and XP. 98's the fastest of the lot, 2000 comes in second, and XP is ridiculously slow. If you've got a choice between running VPC in 9 or X, run it in 9, it'll perform much better.

Hi, i've tried everything i can think of. i'm trying to make a separate subnet for my local network. it's only 2 computers, a desktop and a laptop. i have it assigned to the ethernet ports as 192.168.2.1 & 192.168.2.2 (desktop/laptop). my desktop has a wifi connection as 192.168.1.100. i want to be able to connect them with ethernet for transferring lots of files and have os x automatically use that connection instead of the wireless as it's slow. i've tried setting the network priorities in network preferences, and adding a route in the routing table but it keeps trying to use the wireless between the 2 computers. how can i do this? thanks for any help (ps i want the internet to stay active when i connect the ethernet)
edit- i can kind of make it work by disabling the wireless on the laptop.

This is a very informed opinion. If you ain't yet, you should become a politician (preferably in the equally tolerant ruling party). They have great use for people with a such deep understanding of things.

Well, if it's just for browsing - shouldn't really make a difference...
If you transfer large files between the computers via WIFI...*ekhem* change the router. WIFI does not "like" walls in general. Some MIMO N routers are known for performing much better than just a standard b/g routers that are given away when you sign a contract with an ISP. Look here (http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor2920.html) and here (http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=8872)
These are pricey, but well worth the $.
The other factor to take in to consideration is the antenna in the computer, is it MIMO compatible, if not then there is no point in upgrading.
If it's the fie transfer rate that concerns you the most then the only solution would be wiring. I used to have a "G", then Powerline 1GB, but at the end just decided to do it properly and wired everything with a CAT5e and now have a semi-gigabit network...worked out cheaper than buying a new router/adapters and it's more reliable...just something to think about....

Speaking as a T-Mobile customer, I would LOVE to have Apple working with them on the iPhone. :D
It would make sense in a way. T-Mobile doesn't cripple their phones, unlike most of the other carriers here in the US (That's largely why I left Verizon for T-Mobile a year or so ago). An uncrippled phone would mean an iPhone that actually works the way Apple envisions.
I have a samsung t-809 with t-mobile as my provider. video-out, and the ability to customizable the four way keys (to something other then what they do out of the box) are disabled on the phone, along with a few other features (like the ability to ring and vibrate simultaneously... how silly!). So maybe they don't cripple them to the extent of other carriers, but they certainly still cripple them.

wow, setting your bars pretty high, huh? 2 years. top 3. bold statement I agree with that poster.
Key partner - Nokia (#1 volume seller of the world)
Did you see sales of Symbian phones from last year? And that is an outdated looking OS. Nokia may be catered for the cheap, plastic prepaid phones here in the USA but they are still highly popular everywhere else.
Android was still for the niche crowd back in 2009 selling about 6M units. They grew by 10X last year. Once people's contracts are up, I can see moving onto other OSes eventually just for their fickle nature and willing to try something different. Microsoft should try to make an Xbox phone. Their Xbox 360 has been successful for them and the Kinect became one of the fastest selling gadgets in history with over 10M in a few months. In two years it will be Android #1 with iOS and WP7 filling up 2nd and 3rd based in volume sales. Based on profits, Apple still wins. BlackBerry is still niche outside NA and webOS is even more obscure.
iPhone's popularity is like Facebook. Once your auntie and grandma have one now, it became "less cool." And it's an industry based on trends and fickle people.
As for nomore Zune players, who cares? Zune software still lives on with WP7 phones. If you aren't Apple, you don't matter in the mp3/pmp market which has become niche anyway thanks to phones. I was using my Zune software and Sony Media Go just to watch videos on my laptop last night. Less crashes than what iTunes does for me. Software will still live on.
This is my personal roadmap with phones -
2010 - iOS
2011 - Android or BlackBerry OS 7
2012 - Nokia WP7 phone w/ Xenon flash or Samsung w/ SAMOLED
Then rotate and rotate it because I am cool like that OWNING the top 4 best OSes out there! Palm/HP webOS is too much like BB's QNX/BB OS 7 for me to consider it.
iOS has the apps, simplicity, best batt life, and best "all-around" features. Android has the geeky customization, cutting-edge hardware first, and the PlayStation games which will coincide with my Sony PSP2/NGP. BlackBerry has the best multi-tasking and slickest OS thanks to TAT. WP7 is there to implement my Zune and Xbox Live stuff while a OLED screen compliments the look of WP7. Also, Nokia will gives us Xenon flash. It all balances out, baby.

If you are going for 2TB drives, the WD Caviar Green drives are among the favorites. It's been reported they have some issues regarding the high load cycle counts (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=WD%20caviar%20green%20high%20load%20cycle%20count&cp=10&pq=wd%20green%20high%20load%20cycle%20count&pf=p&sclient=psy&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=WD+caviar+green+high+load+cycle+count&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=6cbe03e6833a46ef) due to the firmware...

It's a bit of work, but the high load cycle counts due to excessive head parking can be prevented.
