    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

I'm very skeptical that the iMacs are coming today(tuesday) there has been no leaked specs/pics of box or anything else, you normally get this before a refresh.

Also iMacs are still shipping in 24hrs on the apple website, a good sign that the new iMacs are not coming just yet.

store's up - also - the macbook pro's are listed as new. Not sure if they were bumped recently, or if they slid them in with the imacs

the new sign is just still there from the February update

Exactly what I've been expecting. Will be nearing the end of my contract by the time the first LTE iPhone is released.

I love them! I've met the couple that makes them and they're all done by hand. Very sturdy and obviously, very beautiful. They look great on a shelf and feel even better in my hand.

They're very nice and I love the look, but a little too expensive maybe soon if I can justify the purchase.

    This is fun.
Yes, the iPhone does compete against Android. The last time I went into a AT&T or Verizon store, this was obvious. To say that the iPhone does not compete against Android is silly.

WRONG. iPhone = hardware. Android = software.
    iOS competes against Android.

Because there is only two hardware choices, the iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS. Making this argument is so empty, in that it does not take into account the reasons behind it.

WRONG. The choice is iPhone OR any Android phone OR any Win7 Phone OR any RIM phone, etc.

Hello Mr. Straw man. The article was about iPhone; if you read it it states "covering U.S. mobile phone sales". Now, if by mobile OS, you are also adding in the iPad, that is debatable. I've been a iPad 3G owner since April 30th and I can tell you that I do not consider the iPad a mobile device. Sure, its easy to carry, but to lump in its sales with phone handset sales is a stretch. If you are making that stretch, how about adding netbooks into the mix as well?

If those netbooks ran Android, I'd count them. But they don't. And YOU'RE bringing up straw men? Phone versus non-phone makes no difference if they're running the same OS and same apps.

When your sales numbers for phones are ~50% of that of your competitor; whereas a few years ago they were barely a blip, then yes that means they are getting kicked in the teeth in handset OS sales.

In your mind maybe. But only in your mind.

PS: Handset OS sales? What the hell does that mean?

I don't know about Parallels, but with VMware you should use your "real" Windows install (the one accessible from Boot Camp) as a virtual machine as well. It's a handy solution in general; plus I would think it only counts as a single install.

Or at least I've done that with Linux/Windows/Grub on a Dell, in any case. It's not for the faint of heart though. And (in case I get PM'ed) I'll just say right off that you're on your own figuring it out - you can really b0rk your disk if you're not careful, so I don't want to be responsible for someone else's disk getting hosed. :D

great news. I'd love to use iwork instead of office which is slow and crashy, but pages just doesn't cut it for me right now. What I'd really love is for pages to have a "notebook" kind of view like word does because that's much more convenient for taking notes in class.

They will. Microsoft doing this will definitely cause Apple to be less stingy with the R&D and get some great small products to market.

God, I really hope that Leopard is more of an upgrade than Tiger was.

You don't think tiger was a significant upgrade? wtf?? lol.. it was packed with new features.

Interesting, and good news--surprised it took this long. Although the quoted article seems to show a bit of a misunderstanding about how the mouse actually works--yes, some people aren't comfortable with the way it detects clicks, but it has to do with the touch sensors, not "fat buttons".

2nd that ... and wonder WHAT took so long

They are just giving Microsoft fewer features to throw into that Zune player - whether Apples uses them or not is another issue.

Does Apple's website specs show this?

EDIT. Nope. Still 9.3 mm thin
Apple "overlooked" the fact that there is a slight difference due to the improved antenna.

Oops, that wasn't supposed to be mentioned.

Forget you just read that. :)

I don't really know what the BFD is with the hype around these music locker services. These services are nothing new (not that Apples does anything new), they have been around in smaller scale the past few years. Problem is, it took too long to upload music, the streaming quality was average at best, and they were too expensive.

I'd like to see how Apple would improve on these services. They will integrate into the iPod UI. That is great. Possibly better upload times (or no uploading at all). But the benefits end there. Cellular connection are slowing at a quicker rate than cellphones are becoming faster. And now we data caps?

Is anyone on here going to delete all the music on their iPhone to be able to pay $20 per year to regain a subpar stream of there very own music? And at a detriment to their limited data amount? Am I missing something??

THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE ABOUT STREAMING. It is going to be about smart syncing media across Macs & iOS devices. You wont delete all your music on your phone or Mac BUT you wont have to have all of it stored locally to have access to all of it. This is going to be how Apple transitions Macs to Flash storage but still allows one to have gigantic iTunes and iPhoto and iMovie libraries. Same with phones and iPads.

reassuring to me even if it only means I will be able to buy computers that run a Mac OS for the next 15+ years.

    My thoughts exactly.

I wouldn't care if their share is 1%. Just as long as they remain a sound business and keep up the R&D.

    Hmmmm . . .

Should Google be more excited about how many copies of Android it has sold . . . .

Or Apple about how many copies of the iPhone it has sold ?

(little hint, Google isn't selling the Android OS)
